The new relationship comes after the Chrisley Knows Best star broke her former student’s engagement to ex-fiancée Amy Medders in August
Chase Chrisley has a new love and wants to take her precious relationship one step at a time.
A representative for the 27-year-old Emmy Medders, star of Chrisley Knows Best, confirms to PEOPLE that the actor is dating Jodi Laine Fournerat, four months after he announced his breakup with his ex-fiance.
A representative for the reality star claims, “It’s still early; it’s only been a few months.” “However, they’re taking things comfortably and enjoying their time together.”
Travel surgical technologist Fournerat, of New Orleans, officially announced their relationship on Instagram on November 7 when she shared a photo of Chrisley giving her a backward embrace. “To say I’m happy would be an understatement ♥︎,” she captioned the photo.
Chrisley posted a single white heart in the comments.

“A lot of questions have been asked about Emmy and me,” he posted on his Instagram Story at the time. “We both decided to part ways and pursue our separate lives going forward. We appreciate you protecting our privacy.
Chrisley had “nothing but love and respect for Emmy and wishes her well,” his lawyer later told PEOPLE. Sadly, nothing worked out, and they are both now moving on with their lives.”
In a September appearance on his sister Savannah Chrisley’s Unlocked podcast, he talked about the difficult path that ultimately resulted in their breakup and their future plans.
Although he “learned a lot of lessons” from the entire experience, the Nashville native knew that their relationship wasn’t perfect.
“Our whole relationship wasn’t bad all the time,” he said. “I mean, I have a lot of things—I’m dealing with them, she has a lot of things—she’s dealing with them. When I was dealing with my wife he decided to leave me. But we have mutually agreed to part ways.”
Chrisley noted that he is feeling “pretty good” and is “doing really good now.”
“I’m definitely over the hump. It was rough there for a little while but I’m over it now,”
He cleared that “God hears conversations we don’t hear and sees things we don’t see. He moved her out of my life and I’m grateful for that because it clearly was not meant to be.”
